Lawrentians set to represent Nashik at State!

The Under- 17 Cricket team of St. Lawrence added yet another feather in the cap of achievements by qualifying to represent the Nashik District at the State level. This is the 4th time that the Lawrentian Cricket team has qualified to play at the State level, the only school cricket team from the district to do so. The team played against the school teams from Nashik, Dhule and Kalwan to reach the state level. The bowlers of the team, with their outstanding performances, helped the team clinch victory after victory. The team also boasts of excellent fielders. The usp of the team is the unity and passion of the members. The Lawrentian Fraternity is proud of the feat and wishes the team phenomenal success.

The Lawrentain Volleyball teams have been garnering praise for their performance on the field. In the matches organised by the District Sports Office, the Under 17 and the Under 19 Boys teams reached the finals. Both teams secured the second place. The Under-14 Girls teams played against the teams of Horizon Academy, Boys Town and Sacred Heart School to win the third position. The Management congratulates all players and wishes them great success in their future.

The students of St.Lawrence High School and Junior College have always excelled at sports. This year too the Under-14 Boys Cricket Team showed their prowess by qualifying to play at the Division Level. The team defeated Horizon Academy and Sacred Heart Convent School to reach the Division Level. The team boasts of strong bowlers who have helped the team achieve this victory.

Gargi Mali and Dharmesh Suryavanshi from Grade 2 and Lavanya Chaudhari and Devansh Patil from Grade 3 of St. Lawrence High School participated in “Kaleidoscope Of Talents” Inter School Marathi story telling and English Poetry Recitation competition organised at Golden Horizon School.The students of Grade 3 wrote their own poems and the students of Grade 2 chose value based stories for their competition. All the students of St.Lawrence gave their best and we are proud of them for their creativity, hard work and confident performance.Gargi Mali secured the First Position in the value based marathi story telling competition and Lavanya Chaudhari secured the Second Position in English Poetry Recitation. They set an example through their victories and will continue to make us proud.

Our students of various classes participated in the Inter-School Rangoli, Drawing and Poster Making Competition organized by KK Wagh Institute. The students depicted their thoughts on issues like “Impact of Technology on the World “and “The Need to Save Environment” in their thought provoking posters. The Drawing Competition consisted of Memory Drawing and in the Rangoli Competition the students drew freehand rangolis. Our students, Mst. Samarth Mahajan and Miss Sanika Agnihotri bagged the 1st and the 3rd Prize in the Drawing Competition respectively in the Junior Group and Mst. Sankalp Joshi won the Consolation Prize in the Senior Group. Miss Nidhi Patil won the 2nd prize in the Poster Making Competition in the Junior Group. In the Rangoli Making, Miss Lavanya Gosavi won the 1st Prize and Miss Madhura Chaudhari won the 2nd Prize in the Junior Group whereas Miss Sejal Kankhare won the 3rd Prize in the Senior Group. The efforts and talent of all participants was appreciated by all.

Lawrentians win the Inter-School Maths Quiz

The Maths Wizards of St. Lawrence weaved their magic by winning the Mathemagizc Maths Quiz organised by Fravashi Academy. The 3 member team comprising of Mst. Ompranal Dhokchaule, Mst. Sanket Chaudhari and Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar bagged the Trophy by successfully competing in the two level competition. The Management and Staff are extremely proud of the students and wish them greater success in the future.

We at St. Lawrence are in a constant process of bettering ourselves . 17 of our students were coached by the teachers to appear in the Maharashtra Talent Search Exam. 4 of them won various prizes in the examination with Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar winning the District Scholarship. The Management is proud of the young scholars and grateful to the teachers for their efforts .

Phenomenal SSC Results of Lawrentians!

The Lawrentian Family is proud of the exceptional results of the Batch of 2019 in the SSC Board Exams . Miss Devika Pagar and Miss Avishka Pashine, two very talented girls, topped the school with 94.60 per cent. 30 students scored more than 90 per cent whereas 57 students scored between 80-90 per cent. 123 students scored distinction, 60 students secured First Class and 12 students secured pass class. The students also performed extremely well in individual subjects as well, with 4 students scoring 100/100 in Maths,98/100 in Science, 96/100 in Social Studies, 93/100 in Hindi, 94/100 in Hindi/Sanskrit, 93/100 in Marathi and 87/100 in English. The Management is extremely proud of the efforts of the students and teachers and is determined to continue pursuing excellence in academics and working for the happiness and holistic development of each student of St. Lawrence.

Art Department Shines!

The Art Department of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College is a group of extremely talented students. The students have been showcasing their talent in various competitions and events throughout this year. These talented artists also put up a stall at the school fun fair where their work was highly appreciated and they even sold a large number of paintings. These students continued to do well with their excellent results in the Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Examinations. A total of 74 students appeared in the Elementary Level, of which 5 students secured A grade, 24 students secured B grade and 43 students secured the C grade. In the Intermediate level, 4 students secured the A grade, 9 students secured B grade and 69 students secured C grade. We wish the students success in all their future endeavours.

We are extremely proud of our young achiever, Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar. Prathamesh won the coveted Silver Medal in the Homi Bhabha Science Talent Research Exam. Prathamesh cleared a 3 level exam to win this medal. The Lawrentian Family wishes him luck and hopes he brings many more laurels to the school and his family.

In the Inter-School Competition organised by Shree A.K. Patel Computer Academy, the students of class 5 to class 8 of our school participated. The competition was organized in two categories - Drawing in MS Paint for Junior Group and Creating a PowerPoint Presentation on Nature for Senior Group. Miss Shravani Gite of class VI bagged the 1st Prize in the Junior Group for drawing Doremon on MS Paint. The Management congratulated her and encouraged all participants.

We are pleased to inform that Miss Maithli Wagh of class 9 won the 3rd Prize in the Inter-School Elocution Competition organized by Rangubai Junnare School. Maithali expressed her views on the growing craze of social media among youth. Miss Shradhha Ahire, Miss Suvarna Mishra and Miss Pranjal Sasane also participated in the competition.

The Under 17 Cricket of St Lawrence High School and Junior College team has won the divisional matches and has qualified to play at the State Level . This has been possible due to the consistent efforts of the students , guidance of Sarvesh Sir and support of all the parents . This is the third time that the Lawrentian Cricket Team will play at the state level . We are the only school in Nashik whose cricket team will be representing the District at State level for the third time . We are extremely proud of our students and we wish them all the best for the State level matches.

Our students did us proud with their phenomenal performance in the Homi Bhabha Science Research Exam. The hard work put in by the students and the painstaking efforts taken by the teachers brought great results. Chetana Toke, Shraddha Ahire, Prathamesh Baviskar and Atharva Patil of class IX and Avinash Bhadane and Adinath Bhadane of class VI qualified for the second level of the examination. We are very proud of our students and hope they continue to do accomplish much more success in their lives.

Cricket Champs of St. Lawrence to represent Nashik at Divisional Level!

Our Under-17 Boys Cricket team won the Vinu Mankad Trophy and qualified to play at the Divisional Level. The team played the teams of NashikCambridge, Fravashi Academy and Sacred Heart. The Lawrentians played the Final Match against the team of Rangubai Junnare School. It was a tough match between the teams and the Lawrentian team won the match and the Championship by 6 runs. The strong batting line-up gave a tough fight and chased target runs easily and the bowlers of the team, Mst. Durgesh Yewaleker, Mst. Sumeet Jadhav and Mst. Nishikant Thakare did a commendable job with their bowling thereby securing victories for the team.

Lawrentians of different ages and different grades made the school proud with their achievements at the Inter-School Competition organized by Golden Horizon School. The students participated in 5 different competitions, English Poetry Recitation, Hindi Elocution, Shloka Recital, Carom and Craft Making. Miss Shreya Jopale, class 4, and Miss Payal Patil, class 5, won the 1st and the 3rd Prize respectively in the English Poetry Recitation Competition.Mst. Avishkar Ghodke, class 8, won the 1st Prize in the Hindi Elocution Competition. Miss Ritika Navghere, class 7, and Miss Samruddhi Joglekar, class 6, won the 1st and the 3rd Prize respectively in the Shloka Recital Competition . Mst. Varun Mali, class 7 and Mst. Krishna Pawar, class 8 won the 2nd and 3rd Prize respectively in the Carom Competition. The young champs have added a feather to the school’s cap with their achievements!

Lawrentians bagged prizes in all 3 categories, namely Colouring, Drawing and Poster Making. Mst. Sushant Shinde, Mst. Soham Gavali and Mst. Niranjan Mali bagged the 1st, 3rd and 5th prize respectively in the Poster Making Competition while Miss Pratiksha Rathod secured the 4th prize in the Drawing Competition. Miss Ishanvi Gedam secured consolation prize in the colouring competition. The Management congratulates all winners and wishes them great success in their future endeavours.

Our students achieved remarkable results in the State Scholarship Exam conducted for class 5 and 8. 53 students of class 5 and 33 students of class 8 passed the exam. 6 students of class 5 and 7 students of class 8 have won the Scholarship. The Management congratulates all students and wishes them luck in their future endeavour.

St. Lawrence shines at Poster Competition!

At the Poster Making Competition organised by K.K.Wagh School, our students excelled in both the Junior and Senior categories. In the Junior group, Mst. Sankalp Joshi bagged the first prize and in the Senior group, Miss Nikita Nishad bagged the first prize. The students conveyed powerful messages on the Importance of Saving the Environment and Saving the Girl Child through their posters. Mst. Soham Gawali and Miss Athira Vhonde also participated in the competition. The portrayal by the students depicted their understanding of the burning issues and showcased their drawing techniques .

Ms. Manasvi Gawali, Class IX and Ms. Rutuja Wagh, Class VIII secured the 3rd and 4th position respectively in the Inter-School Carrom Competition. We congratulate our champions and wish them great success in the future.

Our Under 14 Boys Volleyball Team put up a tough fight and achieved the Runners-Up position in the Olympic Week organized by Yashwant Vyamshala. We are proud of them !

The Lawrentian team has been achieving academic excellence year after year. This was proven yet again with the marvelous performance of the students in the SSC Board exams. This is the 12th consecutive year of 100% results. Of the batch of 153 students, 57 students secured 90% and above, out of which 10 students scored above 95%. 138 students secured Distinctions and 15 students secured First Class. Mst. Prathamesh Ambre topped the school with 97.6%. The hardwork, efforts and determination of the teachers and students, the support of the parents and the guidance and motivation of the Management culminated into the impressive results. The Lawrentian Family wishes the students great success in all their future endeavour.

The Lawrentians of the Class XII Batch of 2018 performed remarkably well in the HSC Board Exams. Mst. Dhairya Patel topped the Science stream with 91% and Ms. Ritika Rajora topped the Commerce stream with 89.2%. In the Science stream, 29 students secured distinctions and there were 80 first class whereas in the Commerce stream, 8 students secured distinctions and 16 secured first class. We wish our students success in their future endeavors.
