We want to be first; not first if; not first but; but first. John F. Kennedy And yes, our young Lawrentians have yet again filled our hearts with pride after bringing various laurels for the school in the ‘Malhar Fest’, an inter school competition organized by GEMS School. Our students participated in various competitions like elocution, singing, art, dance and short film making. In the short film making competition, the First prize was bagged by our teams comprising of Tanmay Chaudhary, Siddhi Patil and Riya Ahire and the Second prize was won by our team comprising of Shravani Shinde, Garv Narang and Atharva Ahire. In the Elocution Competition, Rishabh Joshi of class 8 and Sanika Agnihotri of class 10 won the first prize in two categories. In the Singing Competition, the school’s choir, the ‘Lawrentian Symphony’ brought home the first prize. Anjali Reddy won the consolation prize in the dance competition. In the Drawing and poster Making Competition, Consolation Prizes were bagged by Mrunalini Kapadnis, Tanishka Dange and Achal Sahane. The winners were felicitated with a trophy. As Jaicey Cathorine has aptly said that participation is more important than succeeding or failing and it is our aim to help our students grow as an individual by making them participate in these competitions.

Lawrentians once again excel in Inter-School Art Competition by bagging a plethora of prizes at the Drawing and Rangoli Painting Competition organised by K.K. Wagh English School. 250 students from various schools participated in this competition. Our students made us proud by winning various titles, certificates and cash prizes. Miss Rasika Maniyal and Miss Tanishka Patil secured the First and the Third position respectively in the Rangoli competition. Miss Madhura Chowdary and Miss Ruchika Titme secured the first position and the consolation prize respectively. Our students participated in and excelled at the drawing competition too. Miss Janvhi Khedkar secured the First position and was awarded with a cash prize. The students were felicitated by the world-famous painter Mr. Rajesh Sawant. We at St. Lawrence believe in all-round development of our students. Platforms like these help students to showcase their creativity and boost their confidence.

SSC Results 2022!

The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.” – Bear Bryant Students of St. Lawrence High School & Junior College continued their victory saga! This is the sixteenth consecutive year that the school has recorded 100% results in the SSC Board Exams. Miss Suvarna Mishra topped the school with 96.60% followed by Miss Shivani Suryawanshi, Miss Prerna Shringarpure and Master Yash Patil with 96.40%. Out of the 237 students who appeared for the exam, 199 students secured distinction and 65 students secured above 90%. Zeal to suceed coupled with a high level of motivation and constant encouragement by the management resulted in this amazing feat. The Lawrentian family wishes all students great success in their future endeavours.

The moment you resolve to be victorious every nerve and fibre in your being will immediately orient itself towards your success. Dr.Daisaku Ikeda Pandemic, online classes, offline exams, Board exams, entrance exams and whatnot! Yet our students of the HSC batch achieved cent percent results and have done us proud. Two brilliant girls, Miss Priya Yadav and Miss Sanskriti Khairnar topped the Commerce and Science streams respectively. Priya scored 90.5% and Sanskriti scored 86.33% Out of the 142 students who appeared for the exam, 33 students secured distinction and 82 students secured the first class. The dedicated efforts of the students over two years has resulted into the spendid result. The Lawrentian family wishes all students great success in their future endeavours.

We Lawrentians believe in these words of Anatole France, ‘Nine-tenths of education is encouragement.” To encourage, felicitate and honour the passing out class of class 10, an award ceremony was organized at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College. Medals and Certificates were awarded to the deserving students for their achievement in a variety of arenas, including educational, cultural, sports, and extracurricular activities. Based on Wisdom, Courage, and Compassion, the most prestigious award – 'The Daisaku Ikeda Award' for the year 2021-22 was awarded to Ms. Ganesh Jadhav, a very humble down to earth child. The passing out students expressed their gratitude and admiration to their Alma Mater, where they learned life-long values, and committed to take on the responsibilities as responsible citizens of the country. Mrs. Summan Datta, Managing Trustee and Founder Principal, addressed the students and parents. And in her address, Ma’am applauded the awardees and wished all success in their future endeavors and advised the students to take responsibility for their actions and give their parents due respect. The audience was captivated by the thrilling and entertaining cultural programme.

Lawrentians brought laurels to school by securing prominent positions in the Synergy Competition organised by Ebenezer International School. In the Super Dancer competition our children excelled and bagged the first position. The team comprised of Yash Kharche, Uddesh Turkane, Anjali Reddy and Darshana Khainar. In the Couplet Recitation Devansh Patil of Class 5 stood 2nd while Senjutti Dutta from class 6 secured the 2nd position in the Speak Smart Extempore Competition. In the Soap Art Competition Ishita Nerkar and Janhvi Singh of class 7 bagged the first and 3rd Runner-up position respectively. In the genre of Still Life Painting Janhavi Khedkar from class 9 secured the 2nd Runner up position. In the Pic Tales Competition Shreya Nalle of class 5 was awarded the third position. Aaradhya Gaikwad of class 2 bagged the 2nd position and Vihang Kulkarni of class 1 secured 3rd runner up by showcasing their singing talent in the Swar Sartaj competition These competitions gave the students a platform to show case their talents and skills and develops perseverance and tenacity. The entire Lawrentians fraternity congratulated all the winners.

Yet another feather in our cap! The students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College appeared for the ‘Maharashtra State Scholarship Exam' and made us proud with their achievements. 74 students of class 5 and 33 students of class 8 appeared for it. 8 students from class 5 and 3 students from class 8 excelled and made it to the merit list. Despite the pandemic and online school, our assiduous rank holders of class 5 are Mst. Kartik Dixit- 68%, Ms. Shruti Matkar- 65% , Mst. Aniruddha Pawar - 65 % Ms. Akshara Mehre - 64%, Ms. Viha Chaudhary - 63 %, Ms. Siddhi Dusane - 59% and Mst. Prathamesh Malpure- 59% . Class 8 Merit holders are Mst. Adinath Bhadane - 63% , Ms. Shravani Gite - 62 % and Mst. Avinash Bhadane - 58%. The School Management is extremely proud of the students.

Our students won laurels in the Inter-School Essay Writing, Drawing and Poster Making, Elocution and Abhang Competition in the Kalavishkar Fest, held by Bhonsale Military School. Students of primary and secondary sections participated in all the competitions in large numbers. In the Elocution Competition, our students bagged the first prize in three out of four groups. In all six students won various prizes in the Elocution Competition itself with their powerful and confident delivery of speech. Out of the 200 participants in the Drawing and Poster Making Competition, Lawrentians won seven prizes, bagging the first and second position in two out of four groups. In the Abhang Competition also, our students bagged the top prizes, winning the First position in two groups by mesmerizing the judges with their soulful voices. Our students also swept away the first prize in two groups in the Essay Writing Competition. They won three more prizes in the competition for their thought provoking essays. We are proud of the efforts of all our students as we believe that ‘winning is something, but participation is everything.’

Education at St. Lawrence goes beyond books and curriculum. We encourage each student to explore their talent and potential and hone those in every possible way. The students of the Art team and school choir of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College are an extremely talented group of kids who leave indelible mark wherever they go. Recently the students participated in an Inter-School Competition organized by GEMS School. In the art competition in B group, Miss Mehvish Ansari bagged the first position and Miss Janvi Singh bagged the second position while Miss Arohi Patil and Mst. Devansh Patil bagged consolation prizes. In the same competition in C group, Miss Rutuja Bacchav was awarded the third position and Miss Nisha Anikivi won the fourth position. Members of the school choir were also lauded for their amazing performances. Mst. Heramb Kolaskar won the second prize in the Instrumental Group while Miss Bhoomi Sawant won the third prize and Miss Anushree Agrawal won a consolation prize in the Solo Singing Category. The Lawrentian Fraternity is extremely proud of the efforts of all participants and winners.

Excelling at academics is one of our missions at St. Lawrence. The excellent results of the students of class 10 and 12 despite the odds and obstacles of the past year, is a testimony of our commitment to fulfilling our mission. In the SSC results, Mst. Atharva Narkhede topped the school with 97. 2% while our former Head Boy, Mst. Sanket Chaudhari bagged the second spot with a close 96.80%. Miss Hrutuja Wagh came third with 94.4% In the HSC results, Miss Ankita Wankhede topped the Commerce stream with 92.5% while Mst. Sahil Wani topped the Science stream with 92.17% The Lawrentian family is proud of the resilient efforts of all the students who have proved that no obstacle is too big to conquer if one is determined to achieve victory.

Elocution Competition for Lawrentians!

The gift of speech and expression is one of the most beautiful gifts bestowed on man by nature. At St. Lawrence we believe in providing opportunities to hone the speaking skills of our students and hence we organize an elocution competition for the students annually. This year the students spoke on a variety of topics like, The Destiny of a Nation is Shaped in a Classroom, Wonders of Science, Hard work is more Important than Talent, Failing is a Blessing in Disguise, Artificial Intelligence and such. The competition didn't just help the students polish their oratory skills but also taught them how to logically and sequentially arrange information and the importance of research. The opinions and views of these young students fascinated the teachers and judges. The two leveled competition ended with the students being appreciated for their efforts and talent by the school management.

Yet again the Lawrentian Art Team has done us proud.

Art Team members of class 6 and 7 participated in an InterSchool Fabric Collage Making Competition organized by Ebenezer International School for students all over India. In this competition, Miss Athira Vhonde, class 7 won the 1st Runner Up position for her beautiful creation. We are extremely proud of Athira.

The Lawrentian art team performed phenomenally at the SYMBIOSIS GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR AND FOUNDATION DAY for “HUES”- INTER-SCHOOL PAINTING COMPETITION. 14 students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College bagged various prizes. The students created masterpieces using a single colour. Mst. Vinit Aher, class 1, Miss Swara Joshi, class 2, Miss Jahnvai Khedkar, Class 8 and Miss Srushti Nikam, Class 9 all won the 1st prize in their respective class category. Miss Manasvi Salunkhe , class 9 was awarded a Special Prize for an extraordinary painting. Apart from these, our students also won 5 Second Prizes and 4 Third Prizes.

The students of St. Lawrence have excelled in the field of academics time and again. Yet again the students have proved their mettle.5 students of class 5 and class 8 featured in the merit list in the State Scholarship Exam. Ms. Kavya Yeole and Mst. Mohit Chaudhari of class 5 and Mst. Mandar Deshmukh, Mst. Ganesh Jadhav and Mst. Atharva Chaudhri of class 8 were the merit rank holders. The painstaking efforts of the teachers and students bore fruit in the form of the outstanding results of the student. The Management is extremely proud of the students.

Lawrentians excel in the State level Scout & Guide Examination

The Scout and Guide Organisation of Maharashtra organised a State Level (Scout & Guide) Examination from the 15th to the 22nd of December 2019 at ‘Ashramshaala’, Kachurli, Trimbekeshwar,District Nashik. As part of this examination, a camp was organised at the ‘Ashramshala’ which the scout and guide students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College attended. The participating students had to perform various tasks at the camp which tested their skills and abilities. All 9 students who participated, cleared the examination and brought glory to the school. The students benefited from training and appearing for this exam. The parents expressed as to how the students have become independent, responsible and confident through this experience. The students competed in this prestigious exam under the guidance of Mrs. Manisha Takate and Mr. Ulhas Ade.

The Art Department excels yet again!Mst. Sakalp Joshi, our Headboy has done us proud by securing the consolation prize in the Global Online Fravashi Arts Fiesta in the Senior Category.The competition saw participation of more than 10,000 students worldwide.

Phenomenal Performance of Lawrentians at Inter-School Fest.

Our students of class 1 to 10 participated in 5 different competitions at the Inter-School Malhar Fest organised by GEMS School. Lawrentians swept all prizes with their outstanding talent and efforts. The students won a total of 22 prizes, bagging the first prize in all categories of english elocution, poster making, instrument playing and solo singing. The competition saw participation of more than 1100 competitors from 23 schools. The students garnered praise and appreciation from judges, organizers and everyone at the competition. "Thomas Edison said , "There is no substitute to hardwork”, this is a belief we inculcate in all Lawrentians. The students of the 2020 batch of class 10 have brought this belief in fruition by achieving phenomenal results in the SSC Board Exams.Out of a total batch of 230 students, 61 students scored above 90% out of which 8 students scored above 95 % . We have 202 distinctions and 28 first class .A large number of students did exceptionally well in Maths, with two students scoring 100/100.Mst. Krushna Wankhede topped the school with 97.20%. Krushna is an excellent example that with effort it is possible to excel at everything. He is a state level cricketer who also dabbles in art and music. Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar came second with 96.8 % and Miss Chetana Toke came third with 96.40%.The united efforts of school, teachers, parents and students made these stupendous results a reality . The Lawrentian family is extremely proud of the students and wishes them great success ahead."

The Science stream achieved cent percent results with Mst. Sumit Bera topping the class with 92.76%. Miss Ketaki Mali stood second with 91.84% with Mst. Shubham Garampali coming close in third with 91.69%.Mst. Dhruvil Kothiya topped the commerce section with 88.61%, Miss Janvi Sukhija came in second at 85.23% and Miss Shalin Chawla stood third with 84.76%.The Management and Staff congratulate all students and wish them great success ahead.

15 students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College appeared for the National Talent Search Examination. The students coached by the teachers in school, cleared the exam with excellent results. Two students, Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar and Mst. Atharva Patil qualified for the next level of the exam. On the sports front, Mst. Sarvesh Singh brought glory to the school by qualifying for the Under- 14 Maharashtra State Cricket team. The Lawrentian Family is extremely proud of the young achievers!

A mesmerizing song and dance performance was presented by the students of St Lawrence High School and Junior College on 26th Jan 2020 at the Police Parade Ground Nashik. The students were invited by our esteemed Collector, Mr. Suraj Mandhare and Education Officer Zilla Parishad, Mr. Nitin Bachhav, to perform at the Flag Hoisting Ceremony in the presence of our Honourable Cabinet Minister, Mr. Chagan Bhujbal. A thrilling song ‘Toofan Banke Aaye Hai‘ written and composed by the school music teacher , Mr. Sandeep Thatsingar, was sung followed by an electrifying and riveting dance , choreographed by the teachers and presented by student classical dancers of the school . The dignitaries present at the ceremony were Municipal Commissioner Mr. Radhakrishna Game, Police Commissioner, Mr. Vishwas Nangare Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ms. Purnima Chaughle, S.P. Nashik(Rural), Arti Singh along with other senior Government Officials. The students were felicitated by Education Officer, Mr. Nitin Bachhav. It was a matter of great pride and joy for the students to be able to represent the school at the prestigious Republic Day Parade.

Our students appeared for the Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Examinations. A total of 105 students appeared for the Elementary level exam while 81 students appeared for the Intermediate Level exam. The students achieved excellent results with 6 students securing A grade and 32 students securing B grade at the Elementary level whereas 9 students secured A grade and 19 students secured B grade at the Intermediate level.The excellent results and efforts of the students and teachers was praised and appreciated by all.

The Lawrentians excel at the English Marathon!

This year Lawrentians from Grade 1 to Grade 8 participated in the English Marathon and passed with flying colours. The competition was designed to help students improve their spellings and vocabulary and to develop correct usage of the English Language.38 students secured the 1st ,2nd and 3rd prizes at various levels while 356 students were in the merit list. The students received trophies, medals and certificates and hereby added yet another feather to the Lawrentian hat of achievements.

Our students competed at the National Level in Cricket and Kudo. Mst. Yashraj Khade, Mst . Roshan Waghchaure and Mst. Ritesh Tidke played for the Maharashtra Cricket Team whereas Mst. Yash Bhat represented Maharashtra in Kudo. The dedicated efforts of the students under the guidance of their coaches and the support of the school management enabled them to achieve victory. The Maharashtra Cricket Team won the runners-up trophy for the first time and Mst. Yash Bhatt bagged a Silver Medal bringing pride and glory to the entire state. To add to the glory of the school, Mr. Sarvesh Deshmukh, the Sports Master was selected to be the coach for the State Cricket Team. The achievements of these young champs is commendable and an inspiration to the other youth.

The Under 17 Boys Cricket Team of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College created history by becoming the first school team from Nashik District to have won the State Level tournament and qualify for the Nationals . The school team representing Nashik District played against the team from Aurangabad and Latur to reach the finals. In a nail bitting final played against a team from Mumbai, the Lawrentian team won the match with 4 wickets to spare. Mst. Yashraj Khade made 53 runs and bagged the Man of the Match as well as the Man of the Series Trophy. The talent and hardwork of the team and the efforts of the coach, Mr. Sarvesh Deshmukh are praiseworthy. The Lawrentian Family is extremely proud of the team.

Atharva Nathe of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College added yet another feather to the Lawrentian cap by qualifying to be a part of the Maharashtra State Volleyball team to play at the National Level. The students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College achieved yet another remarkable feat with their excellent performance in the Homi Bhabha Science Exam. 32 students of class 6 and 19 students of class 9 were trained by the science teachers in school. 2 students from class 6 and 3 students from class 9 have qualified for the second level of the examination which comprises of a practical exam. The Management wishes them good luck.

The Under- 17 Cricket team of St. Lawrence added yet another feather in the cap of achievements by qualifying to represent the Nashik District at the State level. This is the 4th time that the Lawrentian Cricket team has qualified to play at the State level, the only school cricket team from the district to do so. The team played against the school teams from Nashik, Dhule and Kalwan to reach the state level. The bowlers of the team, with their outstanding performances, helped the team clinch victory after victory. The team also boasts of excellent fielders. The usp of the team is the unity and passion of the members. The Lawrentian Fraternity is proud of the feat and wishes the team phenomenal success.

The Lawrentain Volleyball teams have been garnering praise for their performance on the field. In the matches organised by the District Sports Office, the Under 17 and the Under 19 Boys teams reached the finals. Both teams secured the second place. The Under-14 Girls teams played against the teams of Horizon Academy, Boys Town and Sacred Heart School to win the third position. The Management congratulates all players and wishes them great success in their future.

The team defeated Horizon Academy and Sacred Heart Convent School to reach the Division Level. The team boasts of strong bowlers who have helped the team achieve this victory.

Gargi Mali and Dharmesh Suryavanshi from Grade 2 and Lavanya Chaudhari and Devansh Patil from Grade 3 of St. Lawrence High School participated in “Kaleidoscope Of Talents” Inter School Marathi story telling and English Poetry Recitation competition organised at Golden Horizon School.The students of Grade 3 wrote their own poems and the students of Grade 2 chose value based stories for their competition. All the students of St.Lawrence gave their best and we are proud of them for their creativity, hard work and confident performance.Gargi Mali secured the First Position in the value based marathi story telling competition and Lavanya Chaudhari secured the Second Position in English Poetry Recitation. They set an example through their victories and will continue to make us proud.

Our students of various classes participated in the Inter-School Rangoli, Drawing and Poster Making Competition organized by KK Wagh Institute. The students depicted their thoughts on issues like “Impact of Technology on the World “and “The Need to Save Environment” in their thought provoking posters. The Drawing Competition consisted of Memory Drawing and in the Rangoli Competition the students drew freehand rangolis. Our students, Mst. Samarth Mahajan and Miss Sanika Agnihotri bagged the 1st and the 3rd Prize in the Drawing Competition respectively in the Junior Group and Mst. Sankalp Joshi won the Consolation Prize in the Senior Group. Miss Nidhi Patil won the 2nd prize in the Poster Making Competition in the Junior Group. In the Rangoli Making, Miss Lavanya Gosavi won the 1st Prize and Miss Madhura Chaudhari won the 2nd Prize in the Junior Group whereas Miss Sejal Kankhare won the 3rd Prize in the Senior Group. The efforts and talent of all participants was appreciated by all.

The Maths Wizards of St. Lawrence weaved their magic by winning the Mathemagizc Maths Quiz organised by Fravashi Academy. The 3 member team comprising of Mst. Ompranal Dhokchaule, Mst. Sanket Chaudhari and Mst. Prathamesh Baviskar bagged the Trophy by successfully competing in the two level competition. The Management and Staff are extremely proud of the students and wish them greater success in the future.

We at St. Lawrence are in a constant process of bettering ourselves . 17 of our students were coached by the teachers to appear in the Maharashtra Talent Search Exam. 4 of them won various prizes in the examination with Mst. Phenomenal SSC Results of Lawrentians!

The Lawrentian Family is proud of the exceptional results of the Batch of 2019 in the SSC Board Exams . Miss Devika Pagar and Miss Avishka Pashine, two very talented girls, topped the school with 94.60 per cent. 30 students scored more than 90 per cent whereas 57 students scored between 80-90 per cent. 123 students scored distinction, 60 students secured First Class and 12 students secured pass class. The students also performed extremely well in individual subjects as well, with 4 students scoring 100/100 in Maths,98/100 in Science, 96/100 in Social Studies, 93/100 in Hindi, 94/100 in Hindi/Sanskrit, 93/100 in Marathi and 87/100 in English. The Management is extremely proud of the efforts of the students and teachers and is determined to continue pursuing excellence in academics and working for the happiness and holistic development of each student of St. Lawrence.
