The students of Grade 6 of St. Lawrence High School and Junior college
visited the Traffic Park as part of an educational field trip aimed at creating
awareness about road safety and traffic rules.
The visit began with a warm welcome by the traffic park officials, who briefed the students about the importance of following traffic signals, zebra crossings, and road signs. The park had model roads, traffic lights, signboards, and pedestrian paths, which helped the children understand real-life traffic situations in a practical way.
Students actively participated in demonstrations on how to cross the road safely,
the use of helmets and seat belts, and the responsibilities of pedestrians and
cyclists. A short interactive session was also conducted where students asked
questions and shared their observations about road safety.
The teachers accompanying the students appreciated the efforts of the Traffic
Park authorities in making the learning experience engaging and meaningful.
The visit not only enhanced the students’ knowledge but also encouraged them
to become responsible and aware citizens.
The field trip was both informative and enjoyable, leaving the students with
valuable lessons on road safety that they can apply in their daily lives.
