Some wise man has correctly said that  “Festivals are heartbeat of happiness”, as the moment we hear even the word festival, we are filled with the feelings of positivity and bliss.

To make our children stay connected to our Indian roots, students of grade 6 were assigned a Marathi project named Vivid San where the class was divided into different groups and were given varied festival as their topic.

The four groups presented information on festivals like Gudi Padwa, Diwali, Holi and Makar Sankranti. The students presented the project in a detailed manner talking about how the festival is celebrated, the special cuisine of the festival and the special rituals which are followed during these festivals. At St Lawrence High School and Junior College, we believe in providing opportunities where they can explore varied topics of learning and not just from their books.
