Going Green at St Lawrence High School and Junior College
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College the students of Grade 1 recently enjoyed an exciting EVS lesson on the topic “Our Green Friends.” Through this lesson, students discovered the wonderful world of plants and learned about different types such as climbers, creepers, herbs, and shrubs, along with interesting examples of each.
The teachers explained in a simple and engaging way how plants play an important role in our daily lives and how they help keep our environment healthy and beautiful. To make the lesson even more enjoyable, a fun identification activity was conducted where students enthusiastically recognized and named different parts of a plant.
The activity filled the classroom with curiosity, excitement, and learning. It helped students connect with nature, build environmental awareness, and develop a love for plants from an early age.
Overall, the topic “Our Green Friends” proved to be informative, interactive, and enjoyable, leaving the Grade 1 students inspired to appreciate and care for the greenery around them.
