Enacting real life through stories at St Lawrence High School and Junior College
A fun and meaningful Groom Shroom storytelling session was conducted for the Grade 1 students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College. In this session, the teachers enacted the story of the Berenstain Bears family, which included Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Brother Bear, and Sister Bear.
The teachers performed the story with great enthusiasm and expressions, making the session lively and interesting for the students. Through the enactment, the children were able to clearly understand the characters and the message of the story.
Along with the story, the teachers explained an important lesson to the students that watching too much TV is not good. They taught the children that there is much more to life than watching television or the phone screen all day and gave them solutions such as playing, reading, learning new things, and spending time with family.
The Grade 1 students enjoyed the storytelling session very much. They watched the performance with excitement and learned the valuable message shared through the story. It was an enjoyable and educational experience for all the children.
