“Stories come alive when imagination takes flight!” Julia Donaldson

As part of their author study session , the Grade 2 students explored the book ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson. The classroom came alive as teachers enacted the story, making learning enjoyable and meaningful for the children.

The students actively participated by imitating the animals, performing actions, learning new vocabulary, and sequencing the events of the story. They also practised retelling the story in their own words.

The session was filled with excitement and laughter. It helped develop listening, speaking, and storytelling skills while reinforcing the values of friendship, teamwork, and kindness.
