“Art is not just about creating objects; it’s about creating values.”

To celebrate the spirit of creativity and eco-friendliness, our school, St. Lawrence High School and Junior College organized a Ganpati Making Workshop for the students of Grades 5, 6, and 7. The event aimed to instill artistic skills, cultural awareness, and environmental responsibility among young learners.

The workshop began with a short introduction on the significance of Lord Ganesha in Indian culture and the importance of using eco-friendly materials to protect the environment. Art teacher guided the students step-by-step in making clay idols. The participants enthusiastically shaped, moulded their Ganpati idols, using natural, non-toxic clay and eco-friendly colors.

The activity not only enhanced the students’ creativity and patience but also encouraged teamwork and cultural appreciation. Students expressed their joy and pride in creating their own idols, while teachers praised their dedication and imagination. The workshop concluded with the message: “Celebrate festivals with joy, creativity, and care for nature.”
