Morya Morya Ganpati Bappa Morya!!
The most awaited festival, Ganesh Chaturthi, was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, devotion, and love for the beloved Bappa in St. Lawrence High School & Jr. College.
It was not just a five-day celebration—the preparations had begun weeks in advance. As per tradition, the Grade 9 students took charge of the entire festival. From making the idol, decorating the venue, preparing lists, purchasing the required items, balancing the budget, designing e-invites, and much more—every detail was planned and executed by them. Different teams were formed to manage specific responsibilities such as decor, budget, invitations, prasad and pooja.
The chosen theme, “Peace in Harmony”, carried a strong message from the youth—that true peace can only be achieved through harmonious living.
Throughout the five days, the students chanted the aartis with great fervour, accompanied by the distribution of prasad. Parents too were a part of the celebration; they joined the Lawrentians in aatis with boundless devotion. The celebrations concluded with the Satyanarayana Pooja, followed by the energetic beats of the Nashik Dhol played by the Lawrentian band. With heartfelt chants of “Pudchya Varshi Laukar Ya, Ganpati Bappa Morya!”, Bappa was given a warm and emotional farewell. This festival was not only a spiritual experience but also a life lesson for the students. It taught them teamwork, budgeting, time management, and the art of balancing responsibilities along with academics—skills that will remain with them forever.
