St. Lawrence High School and Junior College has conducted a PBL activity for Class VII students. The PBL was based on the Hindi topic “Bharat ke Nrutya.” This topic highlighted the rich cultural heritage of India through its diverse dance forms. Students explored various classical and folk dances such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Bhangra, Garba, and Lavani. Staying connected to our roots and being in touch with our culture and traditions is essential. With the aim of instilling these values in our children, a project was assigned to Grade VII students. For this project, the students collected information about the holy places of Maharashtra, namely Trimbakeshwar, Shirdi, Kolhapur, and Pandharpur. They researched the importance of each of these sacred sites and presented their findings beautifully through role play and PowerPoint presentations.
