Celebration of Marathi Language Pride Day at St. Lawrence High School & Junior College
St. Lawrence High School & Junior College celebrated Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din with great enthusiasm. The theme for the occasion was “Women Empowerment”, and various cultural and academic programmes were organised. The main objective of the event was to instill pride in the Marathi language and to spread awareness about the strength and empowerment of women among students. The programme began with poetry recitation, storytelling, and speeches based on women empowerment. Students then presented a beautiful group dance on the song “Baicha Janma Ghaicha…”, which won the hearts of the audience.
Making money relatable at St Lawrence High School and Junior College
“Learning becomes meaningful when children experience it in real life.” St. Lawrence High School conducted a Money Activity for the primary section to help students understand the concept of money in an interesting and practical way. The activity helped students learn how money is used in daily life and why it is important. During the activity, students identified different coins and notes and learned their values. They participated in simple buying and selling activities using play money. Children acted as shopkeepers and customers and practised counting money, adding amounts, and giving the correct change.

An Investiture Ceremony was held at St. Lawrence High School & Junior College on 21st February, 2026 which was a grand and memorable event that marked the formal appointment of the newly elected student council members.
The event began with the choir singing the Ganesh Vandhana to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings followed by the handing over the flags by the outgoing council to the newly elected council. The Oath Taking Ceremony was the highlight of the show which definitely gave goosebumps to everyone present.
