Menstruation is not just a biological process, it is a powerful and profound experience that connects us to the cycles of nature and the rhythms of our own bodies.
A ‘Menstruation and Hygiene’ workshop was organised in St.Lawrence High School and Junior College for the girls of class 6 and their mothers. Dr.Mrs. Nanda Mehta, an Anesthesiologist and Dr. Ranjit Mehta, a Gynaecologist and an Obstetrician were invited to conduct the workshop.
The session began with Dr. Mehta talking about the whys and hows of Menstruation and the importance of maintaining hygiene during the menstrual cycle. He gave two major tips for the mothers to keep their health in check.
Dr. Mrs. Mehta then spoke about the physical changes in the girl’s as well as their mothers’ bodies. The session culminated with the students and their mothers clarifying their doubts.
