At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, storytelling came alive in a heartwarming session by Kathalaya – the House of Stories. Our enthusiastic Grade 1 students were captivated by the delightful tale of Chuppu, Nunnu, and their dream house, a story that sparked imagination and laughter all around.

After the storytelling, creativity took center stage as children designed their own “dream houses” in their art books. From rainbow roofs to cozy gardens and happy families, every creation reflected a child’s unique imagination and joy.

The session beautifully combined language, art, and life lessons, teaching values like creativity, teamwork, and friendship in a fun, engaging way.

By the end, the classroom was filled with colors, smiles, and stories waiting to be told. The Home Sweet Home experience reminded everyone that storytelling doesn’t just build houses — it builds hearts, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
