Stories full of fun and learning at St Lawrence High School and Junior College

The Grade 1 students at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College had a joyful and engaging Kathalaya storytelling session based on the delightful story of ‘Frog and Toad.’ The story was beautifully narrated by the teachers, bringing the characters of Frog and Toad to life.

In the story, Frog and Toad decided to go swimming together. Frog was confident and excited, but Toad felt very shy about wearing his swimming suit and did not want anyone to see him, so he hid in the water. As time passed, different animals like a turtle, snake, lizard, field mouse, and dragonfly gathered near the river. They were all curious and waited eagerly for Toad to come out of the water.

Toad felt too embarrassed to come out while everyone was watching. However, after staying in the cold water for too long, he began to shiver. Finally, unable to bear the cold, Toad quickly ran out of the water.

The storytelling session was full of fun and laughter. The students enjoyed the expressions, actions, and humour in the story. Through this session, children also learned an important lesson about overcoming shyness and being confident. It was an enjoyable and memorable learning experience for all.
