“Adolescence is the time to find your identity and figure out who you are.”

St. Lawrence High School & Jr. College organized a helpful and interactive two-day Experiential Emotional Education (EEE) workshop for Grade 9 students.

Led by Ms. Habiba Kudrati, a Clinical Psychologist, the session focused on guiding students through the critical adolescent transition by focusing on self-awareness, emotional regulation, and empathy. Rather than sitting through passive lectures, the students actively participated in practical activities where they analysed their own emotional responses to common, daily situations. To bring these concepts to life, the students worked in groups to perform small skits, beautifully demonstrating how the exact same situation can turn out completely differently depending on whether they react with a negative, unregulated emotion or a positive, empathetic one. The workshop truly reflected the school management’s thoughtful initiative in nurturing emotionally aware and resilient individuals, ensuring that students are well-equipped to navigate both academic and personal challenges with confidence and empathy.
