Learning became an exciting adventure for the students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College as they explored shapes, patterns, positions, and shadows through engaging classroom activities. The children enjoyed a fun game of hide and seek, observing their surroundings and identifying circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles. They also learned how shadows are formed when an object blocks light and excitedly experimented with their own shadows by creating different shapes and poses. Through these activities, they explored different positions and spaces by observing and describing where objects were placed.

The students also created colourful patterns and designs using different shapes and colours. These hands-on activities encouraged them to observe carefully, recognise patterns, think logically, and use mathematical vocabulary confidently. The joyful learning experience strengthened their creativity, observation, and reasoning skills while helping them discover that Mathematics is all around us!
