All about the Jaguar at Lawrence High School and Junior College

The Grade 1 students at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College had a wonderful learning experience about Jaguars. They discovered that Jaguars resemble leopards with their pale yellow coats and distinctive black rings and spots. These amazing creatures are fast swimmers and enjoy eating fish.

Sadly, Jaguars are now considered extinct in the United States, which highlights the importance of studying and protecting endangered species. As part of their activity, the students researched information about Jaguars in their computer class. They enjoyed looking at pictures, reading simple facts, and understanding the significance of protecting animals.

The children then coloured a picture of the Jaguar and wrote short facts about it in their notebooks, which helped them remember what they learned in a fun and creative way. The class thoroughly enjoyed the activity and felt happy to learn about this rare and special animal from the past.
