“Change begins with me — this Diwali, I choose to be the light.”

With this inspiring thought, our school, St. Lawrence High School and Junior College
celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and creativity. Students of classes VII and VIII took
part in lantern-making and diya-decorating activities, contributing their creativity to spread
the message of joy, light, happiness, togetherness, responsibility and the victory of light over
darkness.
Students made beautiful lanterns using colourful papers, ribbons, and eco-friendly materials.
They also decorated diyas with paints, mirrors, and glitter, adding a festive charm to the
display. The corridors and classrooms were brightened up with the glowing lanterns and
diyas, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
The teachers appreciated the creativity and teamwork shown by the students. A short talk on
celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali was also presented to encourage everyone to avoid
crackers and protect the environment.
The celebration ended with smiles and festive wishes, leaving everyone filled with the true
spirit of Diwali — joy, creativity, and light.
