Clothes and Seasons at St Lawrence High School and Junior College

“Learning becomes meaningful when children connect it with the world around them!”*

The Grade 2 students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College explored the EVS topic “Clothes We Wear” through an interactive and engaging session. Teachers showed different clothes and fabrics, helping students learn about suitable clothing for summer, winter and rainy seasons.

The session was conducted to help students understand different types of clothes, fabrics and their uses. The objective was to develop observation, curiosity and awareness about the clothes we wear and where different fabrics come from.

Students learnt that cotton comes from plants, wool from sheep and silk from silkworms. The session also encouraged kindness towards animals and made learning about clothes, seasons and nature joyful and meaningful.
