At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, our students explore something new every day across all subjects. During their General Knowledge period, our little champs from Grade 1 took a fascinating journey into the heart of our nation’s identity learning about India’s national symbols.

Through a fun and engaging story, the children discovered the legacy of King Ashoka, who gifted us the majestic Lion Capital of Ashoka — the inspiration behind our National Emblem. They also learned when and why this emblem was adopted, gaining a deeper understanding of its importance and meaning.

It’s amazing to see such young learners connect with the rich history and pride of our great nation!
