The students of Grade 1 at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College learned Hindi Swar and Vyanjan through a fun Rangoli tracing activity using colours and flowers.

They traced and pronounced letters like अ, आ, इ, ई and क, ख, ग, घ, making learning interactive and joyful. They also practiced two and three-letter word formations through flashcards and games, blending sounds like घ् + अ + र् = घर, which helped improve their reading, speaking, and confidence.

The Grade 2 students explored different matras such as आ, इ, ई, उ, ऊ and further learned ‘ए’ (े) and ‘ऐ’ (ै) through a “matra window” activity. By forming words like केला and कैसा, they understood the difference in sound and usage.
This activity made them confident in identifying and using matras correctly, strengthening their Hindi reading and writing skills.
