Little Learners Exploring the Value of Money at St Lawrence High School and Junior College

At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, our Grade 1 students had an exciting GK session on the theme “National Currency.”

They learned that Indian currency is called the Rupee, with the symbol ₹, and that we use different notes and coins to buy things in our daily lives.

To bring the concept to life, children explored real notes and coins through hands-on activities. They also viewed a presentation that highlighted the details of each denomination, helping them understand the design, features, and importance of our currency.

The interactive session not only helped students recognize the Rupee but also gave them a real-life experience of how money works. For our little learners, it was a meaningful and fun way to understand the role of currency in everyday life.
