Math magic at St Lawrence High School and Junior College
Math turned into an exciting adventure for our Grade 1 students at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College as they explored the concepts of increasing and decreasing order through fun, hands-on activities.
Instead of simply memorizing numbers, the young learners actively engaged in playful exercises that helped them understand how numbers can grow bigger (increasing order) or get smaller (decreasing order).
To make the learning more interactive, students arranged number cards in increasing and decreasing order. These activities not only strengthened their understanding of sequencing but also encouraged quick thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Through these joyful activities, students discovered that Math is not just about numbers on paper; it’s about patterns, logic, and having fun while learning. The excitement in the classroom showed that learning becomes easier and more meaningful when it is experienced in a creative way.
