My Father, My Hero

With loving hands and a heart so kind,

A better father is hard to find.

He guides my steps and helps me grow,

My hero forever, this I know.

Fathers play an invaluable role in the lives of their children. They are mentors, protectors, guides, and a constant source of love and support. To acknowledge and celebrate their contributions, Father’s Day was observed with great enthusiasm at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College.

Students of Classes 5 and 6 showcased their creativity by making beautiful wall hangings using ice cream sticks. On each stick, they wrote heartfelt messages expressing their love, gratitude, and appreciation for their fathers. These personalized wall hangings served as meaningful keepsakes that reflected the special bond between father and child.

Students of Classes 7 and 8 creatively decorated glass jars and filled them with colourful message capsules. Each capsule contained a thoughtful note, loving message, or word of appreciation dedicated to their fathers. The activity encouraged students to express their feelings and acknowledge the important role their fathers play in their lives.

The celebration aimed to instil the value of respect, gratitude, and love towards fathers among the students. It served as a reminder that while Father’s Day is a special occasion to honour fathers, their guidance and affection deserve to be cherished and appreciated every day. The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to recognize the importance of their fathers and strengthen the bond they share with them.
