Reading Inspiration Day at St. Lawrence High School
“A book is a dream that you hold in your hands.”
St. Lawrence High School and Junior College celebrated Reading Inspiration Day for grade 5 and 6 with great enthusiasm, aiming to nurture a love for reading and encourage students to explore the wonderful world of books.
The school premises were transformed into a vibrant literary space, showcasing books by various renowned authors along with displays highlighting their lives and literary contributions. This initiative provided students with an opportunity to discover new authors, explore diverse genres, and appreciate the power of words and imagination.
To make the celebration more engaging and interactive, exciting games based on popular book characters were organised, allowing students to test their knowledge and connect with their favourite literary personalities. The Book Sequence Challenge added an element of fun and curiosity, encouraging students to arrange books in the correct sequence while developing their observation, memory, and logical thinking skills.
The celebration beautifully blended learning with enjoyment, reminding students that books are not merely a source of information but also gateways to creativity, wisdom, and endless adventures.
Through these enriching activities, St. Lawrence High School reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a vibrant reading culture and inspiring young minds to embrace the lifelong habit of reading.
