We take story time seriously at St Lawrence High School and Junior College

At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, Grade 1 students had the pleasure of reading “Alabaloo: The Lost Alien,” a heartwarming story written by the author Sonia Mehta.

This delightful book tells the story of Alabaloo, a lost alien who embarks on an adventurous and endearing journey. Through Alabaloo’s experiences, the children learned valuable lessons about friendship, understanding how kindness, empathy, and companionship can make even the most unfamiliar situations easier and more joyful.

To make the story even more exciting and memorable, the teacher dressed up as Alabaloo and visited the Grade 1 classrooms! The children were thrilled to meet “Alabaloo” in person, which brought the story to life and filled the rooms with laughter and excitement.

Alabaloo’s journey and the fun classroom activity together emphasized how friendships can bring comfort, support, and a sense of belonging reminding the young learners that true friends can make any world feel like home.
