“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer .”
– Mahatma Gandhi
A ‘Donation Drive’ was organised by St. Lawrence High School and Junior College for students and parents of all classes. The drive, arranged on the occasion of Founder’s Day as an activity to imbibe values of generosity and compassion from the founder’s life.
The students of grade 1 to 12 brought a variety of materials from grocery items to toiletries to stationary items. The students of grade 8 took the complete responsibility from not only packing and labelling the stuff but also visiting the ashram school and distributing the collected material. The interaction between the students of the ashram school and our school, was an eye-opening experience for our students.
The students of grade 12 visited an old age home to spend a day with the residents, interact and play games with them and bring them some useful material. This opportunity helped our students realise how fortunate they are and also generated a sense of empathy in them.
