“Participation is the first step to success.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, our aim is to encourage as many students as possible to unleash their potential.
With this aim, competitions were organized for the students to showcase their talents and the winners of these competitions were felicitated in a prize distribution ceremony.
The students of Grades 5 to 8, the young talents who emerged victorious in the Drawing and Elocution Competition were felicitated in this ceremony. The event was a celebration of creativity and eloquence, showcasing the exceptional abilities of the students. In recognition of their exceptional performances, the winners were presented with certificates and gifts.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Trustees, Col Vijaykumar Datta and Ms. Nalini Datta, whose inspiring words resonated with the young audience. While congratulating the winners, Ms. Nalini Datta emphasized the significance of participation over mere winning. She encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, embrace challenges, and actively engage in various competitions. Her belief in the transformative power of participation left a profound impact on the students, motivating them to strive for excellence while cherishing the journey. The prize distribution ceremony was a momentous occasion that not only acknowledged the accomplishments of the winners but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and all-round development among the students.
