Bread on our table!
Curiosity is the fuel for discovery, inquiry and learning. At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, the Primary section students learn different themes by collecting information via different mediums and this makes them more knowledgeable and independent.
This time our children learnt about ‘How to make bread’. In this theme they learnt about every step of making bread which helped them to understand the process better and about the effort it takes for the break to reach us.
On the culminating day, our children did a survey through which they collected data from the teachers about how much bread they consumed in the last week and how they ate it. This activity taught the children to respect whatever food comes on their table and be grateful for the process and people involved.
