Celebrating Navratri with Garba at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College!
The festive spirit was alive at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College as Grade 1 and 2 students joyfully celebrated Navratri through Garba and Dandiya dances.
Navratri is a vibrant festival dedicated to worshipping Goddess Durga, embodying color, music, and community. On October 9, 2024, the school came alive with the energy and enthusiasm of this celebration, emphasizing Indian culture and unity.
Students, staff, and invited parents dressed elegantly in traditional attire, creating a spectacular visual treat. The colorful costumes, paired with the lively beats of Gujarati folk songs, filled the atmosphere with positivity and joy. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome to ten parents from each class, followed by captivating Garba performances by various classes alongside their parents and teachers.
A highlight of the event was when Principal Ms. Snehal Gore, along with the entire teaching staff and invited parents, joined in the dancing, further enriching the festive experience. The performances were marked by stunning choreography, leaving the audience in awe.
The event was truly made complete by the radiant smiles of our Grade 1 and 2 students, whose joy added an extra layer of bliss to the festivities. Together, we celebrated not just a festival but a sense of community, unity, and cultural pride.
