Celebrating Peace Day at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College!

“Inner peace is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. Outer peace will follow.”
— Dalai Lama

At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, our Grade 1 and 2 students recently engaged in a meaningful celebration of Peace Day. This day serves as an important opportunity to instill values of kindness, respect, and community in our young learners.

Peace Day is a global reminder of the importance of treating one another with care and compassion. It encourages students to envision a world where everyone feels safe and happy, both at home and in their wider communities.

Consider the simple joy of playing together in a playground. For everyone to have fun, we must share, take turns, and be kind. This spirit of cooperation and understanding is the essence of Peace Day, teaching us that kindness transcends differences and unites us all.

By celebrating Peace Day, we empower our students to recognize their role in creating a harmonious world. It’s an invitation to embrace empathy, foster friendships, and build a future where love and respect prevail.

Through these activities, our children learn that they are not just participants in their school environment, but active contributors to a more peaceful world. Let’s continue to nurture these values in our youth, ensuring that they grow into compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
