Cultivating Gratitude at St. Lawrence High School!
“Gratitude is the sign of noble souls.” – Aesop.
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, the power of gratitude is transforming young minds. In the “Thankful Turkey” initiative, students crafted colorful feathers, each representing something they appreciate in their lives.
This project encourages self-reflection, as students daily identify what they are thankful for—whether it’s family, friends, or simple joys. Teachers support this by creating an environment where students can share and discuss their gratitude, reinforcing community bonds.
By embedding gratitude into their daily routine, our primary students are building a strong foundation for lifelong appreciation. This transformative habit enhances mental health and strengthens relationships, preparing them to make a positive impact in their communities. At St. Lawrence, we are not just filling feathers; we are cultivating noble souls.
