Exploring Earth’s Landscapes: Grade 2 Students Dive into General Knowledge!
“There’s magic on the land that draws all the men away from the land, that leads them over the hills, down creeks and streams and rivers to the sea.”
— Herman Melville
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, our Grade 2 students recently embarked on an exciting journey through the diverse landscapes of Earth. They explored deserts, the majestic Himalayas, and captivating islands, gaining a deeper understanding of these unique environments.
Through virtual tours, students traversed vast deserts, scaled the heights of the Himalayas, and navigated picturesque islands. They also engaged with a model of an island, allowing their curious minds to visualize these stunning terrains in a tangible way.
Additionally, our students learned about major islands of India, discovering their names and locations. This immersive experience not only enhanced their geographical knowledge but also sparked a sense of wonder about the world around them.
By fostering curiosity and exploration, we are nurturing a generation of informed and engaged learners, ready to appreciate the beauty and diversity of our planet.
