“It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.”

A field trip was organised for the students of St. Lawrence and Junior College of grade 5 and 8 to Parle Chocolate Factory. An enthusiastic group of students and teachers was welcomed by a pleasant aroma of chocolates and candies.

The main aim of this field trip was to give an insight to the students about the making of their favourite chocolate and the effort that goes into the chocolates they savour. The students were given adequate information about how chocolates are made. It was a fun and exciting experience for the students to witness the production of chocolate.

A short film explaining the process of manufacturing chocolates as well as advertisements of some of the company’s products was shown. Children interacted with the staff and asked plenty of questions.

Children learnt how one must work as a team for the success of any product, also to meet the demands of changing market customer needs. It was an enriching and informative field trip. Students were also provided with free samples to taste.
