Lawrentians learn about Financial Goal Setting

Education isn’t merely about teaching from the coursebooks. At St. Lawrence, we believe in imparting life skills and practical knowledge needed to survive and thrive in today’s cut throat world.

Towards this end, a workshop imparting Financial Literacy was organized for the students of class 10. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Pranav Gadgil of Samyak Finserv.

He guided the students on various aspects of finance. He also briefed them about insurance plans, fixed deposits, emergency money, mutual funds, and the stock market. He also reminded them that before investing money, they must conduct extensive research, prepare carefully, and make sound decisions. He used the expression “Little drops of water make a mighty ocean” to demonstrate how people may save a lot of money by setting away a small amount of money and using it when they are in need. The session concluded with an intensive QnA where the students were given the opportunity to ask all their queries.
