Lawrentians promote the grandeur of emerging India… a saga of progress and promise
The Management, Staff and Students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College celebrated the 77th Independence Day of the nation with a great patriotic fervour.
The national flag was hoisted by the Trustee of the school, Col. Vijaykumar Datta.
Young students spoke emphatically on the topic ‘Emerging India’, depicting the great strides of progress our nation has made in the last seven decades of freedom and the myriad possibilities that await us.
The school dance troupe’s bright dance drew tremendous acclaim for their heartfelt performance, which encapsulated the essence of freedom. The patriotic songs using by the school choir, The Lawrentian Symphony, charged the atmosphere and ignited sparks of patriotism in the audience.
In his address to the students, Col. Datta urged the students to dream and work tirelessly towards those dreams, to be responsible, accountable and to work with integrity. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and honour our nation while also making it a better place for Indians to live and enjoy freedom, peace, and unity in diversity.
