National Emblem By King Ashoka!
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College our students explore new things every day in every subject. In the GK period our little champs learnt about our nation and the national symbols of India.
The students learnt about King Ashoka who gave us the symbol of the National Emblem through a story. They learnt when the emblem was established and by whom.
Our children realised the importance of a national emblem which is usually present on each and every important document of a nation because it represents that country and its heritage. It becomes an important part of the identity of a nation.
In this session children learnt that the Indian emblem has some strong, powerful and loyal animals made on it which represent the virtues of our motherland and the people in it.
Through this session children imbibed the value of respect and pride towards our India.
