Paper preservation leads to nature preservation!

Education is not the learning of facts, But the training of the mind to think.

– Albert Einstein

At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, the Grade 1 students made handmade paper. They

learned the paper making process in which paper is produced from timber. In order to avoid the cutting of more trees, they were taught how to recycle paper and make it brand new again.

This helped them to create their own kind of hand made paper while also reduce the cost of “producing” new paper.

This activity helped the children to make and create innovative and attractive things from the material they already have. It also taught them how to conserve our environment by recycling things which can be easily recycled.
