Protecting the Shield That Protects Us!
On September 16th, the world comes together to observe International Ozone Day, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the crucial role of the ozone layer and the urgent need to safeguard it.
In support of this cause, St. Lawrence High School and Junior College organized a special activity for students from grades 1 to 4. The aim was to instill in young minds the importance of protecting the ozone layer and the environment.
As part of the activity, students created a variety of drawings, each carrying a powerful message about the value of the ozone layer. Through their art, they highlighted its significance, the challenges it faces, and actionable steps we can all take to protect it.
This hands-on approach not only deepened the students’ understanding of the ozone layer but also fostered a sense of responsibility toward preserving our planet.
By engaging in this creative activity, the students embraced the critical lesson that protecting the ozone layer is key to ensuring a healthier Earth for future generations.
