“Yoga is the science of well-being.” – Swami Vivekananda

We at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College believe not only in the academic excellence of the students but also in their overall well -being and hence our students too celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June with lot of zeal and zest.

The importance of Yoga and its benefits were reiterated with the students of classes 5 to 8 under the guidance of Ms. Uma Khairnar. The students were taught a lot of different postures like gomukhasana, vajrasana ,simhasana along with some breathing exercises like ‘brahmari’. The students were encouraged to practice these asanas on a daily basis.

The session helped the students feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
