To celebrate Yoga Day the primary children were explained the importance of Yoga in every life – no matter what age or gender or situation. We also helped them perform exercises which are appropriate for the age group of 6-10.

Besides this knowledge of yoga, the primary students, also learn breathing exercises at St. Lawrence High School & Junior College right from Grade 1. It is a part of the school routine now to breathe slowly for 30 seconds after every 30 minute period gets over. This helps students relax their mind and relieve anxiety and allows better concentration.

Thus on yoga day they were better able to appreciate this routine of theirs and also learnt how to appreciate this beautiful science that has originated from our homeland.
