“Etiquette means behaving yourself a little better than is absolutely essential.” – Will Cuppy

At St.Lawrence High School and Junior College, the Grade 3 students were given some crucial knowledge about elevator etiquette.

There is a common tendency in children to want to press all the buttons on elevators or to jump and act mischievous inside them or to play with the doors of elevators. Through this activity they were taught how dangerous this can be and that they should always be very careful around elevators.

They were also taught the correct way in which to go inside and outside elevators without blocking the way of the people on the other side. The teachers actually enacted the entire scene of coming in and going out along with a few students, to give an accurate demo to the whole class.
