When it comes to learning languages there are many options in India but Hindi is widely spoken in many states and is our national language.

To promote the importance of our national language, we at St.Lawrence High school and Junior College try our best to get our students to understand the importance of our country’s culture and heritage. With this motto in mind Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September.

This time we celebrated Hindi Diwas by organising different competitions for the students to showcase their talents.

The Grade 3 and 4 students were given different topics on which they had to narrate a story or speech or poems. The competition had a time limit with the criteria given to the students in advance so that they could prepare themselves.

The students participated enthusiastically and used various props and also dressed up as the characters which made the event more special for everyone.

The whole idea behind this competition was to bring out in our students a certain confidence and pride towrads our national language.
