St. Lawrence High School and Junior College celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical health, mental well-being, and inner peace.
The programme began on the school premises with a brief introduction highlighting yoga’s significance in daily life. Dressed in comfortable attire, students performed various yoga asanas such as Paschimottanasana, Vajrasana, Balasana, Ustrasana and various forms of Pranayama like Samavarti, Brahmari and Bhastrika under the guidance of trained instructors. The atmosphere was calm and energetic as students followed the exercises with discipline and focus.
At St. Lawrence, practicing yoga is not a one-day celebration rather the school management has taken a noble initiative to conduct weekly yoga classes for all students. This thoughtful effort aims to instill healthy habits from a young age and help students manage stress, improve concentration, and lead a balanced lifestyle.
The celebration concluded with a message reminding everyone that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of life.
