At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, Grade 4 students immersed themselves in the world of plants, exploring their parts, uses, and environmental significance.

Through hands-on learning, the students observed and interacted with plants, focusing on roots—key to anchoring, nutrient absorption, and food storage. They gained a deeper understanding of plants’ essential role in sustaining life by providing food and oxygen, and how they help address environmental challenges.

This experience not only deepened their connection to nature but also instilled a sense of responsibility in caring for the environment. At St. Lawrence, the students truly got back to their roots.
