At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College the students learn about many different countries and their cultures. Recently the Grade 1 students experienced a virtual tour of Japan.

In this session they were introduced to Japan, the land of many surprises. They learnt about the National Flag of Japan. They witnessed cherry blossoms, sumo wrestling and were enthralled by the Fuji mountain. They also learnt how to greet each other in Japanese.

As a concluding activity the students dressed up in Kimonos and also tried to eat with chopsticks. Thus getting to know about Japan virtually was very fascinating for each of them.
