Let’s Be Safe: Learning Life-Saving Safety Measures!
Safety is a crucial part of everyday life—whether at home, school, or outdoors. Understanding and following safety precautions helps us stay protected, healthy, and happy.
At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College, the Grade 2 students recently participated in an interactive and educational session on safety awareness. Through hands-on experiences, they learned essential safety rules for different situations.
In a bus safety activity, students sat inside a school bus and practiced following important safety measures, such as staying seated, wearing seat belts, and avoiding distractions while traveling. This real-time learning helped them understand why these precautions are necessary.
Inside the classroom, students explored electrical safety by discussing the dangers of touching switchboards and electrical appliances. They learned how small, mindful actions can prevent serious accidents.
Another key highlight was first-aid awareness. Students discovered the importance of a first-aid box—what it contains, how it is used, and why it is essential in emergencies. They even created their own first-aid boxes using recycled materials, reinforcing their learning in a creative way.
This hands-on session not only deepened the students’ understanding of safety but also empowered them to take responsibility for their well-being. By making learning practical and engaging, St. Lawrence High School and Junior College continues to instill valuable life skills in its young learners.
