At St. Lawrence High School & Junior College a Fashion Show was organized for the students of Grade 2. Fashion shows exhibit clothing, hairstyles, makeup, and jewellery but the tiny tots of the Lawrentian Family had to make dresses out of paper & plastic so that they could learn a lesson about sustainable clothing for the future.

Everyone was pleasantly surprised to see the creativity of the students and their parents as every outfit had close semblance to actual fashion show attire. The ramp that was created with a red velvet carpet added to the atmosphere and the whole thing looked like a real fashion show!

Moreover the gait and confidence with which the children walked to showcase their outfits won the hearts of all teachers and judges! Their attitude and comfort while donning their own creations and walking for the audience was proof of how it’s crucial to make children take part in such activities!

This fashion show was a memorable event for the primary section of St Lawrence because it helped the children to learn about “up cycling” any kind of waste material while it also tapped into their creativity, confidence and personality development.
