Nature Walk: A visit to the Lawrentian Botanical Garden

To make learning more interesting and practical, the Grade 3 students were taken on a visit to the school botanical garden at St. Lawrence High School and Junior College.

During the visit, the students were introduced to different types of plants such as herbs, shrubs, trees, climbers, and creepers. They observed the unique features of each plant and learned about their uses and importance in our daily lives.

Our students also understood the importance of conserving plants and maintaining a clean, green environment. They actively participated by observing, asking questions, and identifying different plants.

The visit made learning enjoyable and helped students understand the importance of nature through real-life experiences. Overall, the school botanical garden visit was an enriching experience that developed students’ curiosity, observation skills, and love for the environment.
