It’s so important to teach the new generation of children about our Freedom Fighters so that they can get to know oftheir sacrifices and their indomitable spirit. Keeping this in mind a Fancy Dress Competition on the theme ‘Freedom Fighters’ was held at St Lawrence High School and Junior College for the Grade 1 students.

They were taught about how driven these real life heroes were and how they made an impossible dream come true due to their courage, unity and larger than life bravery. The competition generated a lot of excitement among both students and teachers. It was amazing to see the children dress up and speak like the various freedom fighters such as – Mahatma Gandhi, Veer Savarkar, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Aazad, Jhansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bai, Lokmanya Tilak etc.

The students were happy and displayed their best to make this celebration a relevant one. This was one of the bestways of learning about the people who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country.

It was a proud moment to see the little ones speak so confidently. This activity helped the students of the Primary section to bring out their inner talent and gave them a platform to build their self-confidence.

All our little ones were looking adorable. They won our hearts with their exuberance and enthusiasm.
