Merging education with fun! The Lawrentians visit the Traffic Educational Park!

A field trip always provides a break from the typical monotonous routine for the children. They get to learn in a new environment that stimulates their senses and they unrealisingly pick up so many new concepts. The Grade 2 students of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College visited the Traffic Educational Park this year.

It is a necessity to teach our youth about road & vehicle etiquettes. So the volunteers there taught all the kids how to cross a zebra crossing, how to follow all the road signs accurately, how to walk on the pedestrian pathway, how to park the vehicles correctly etc. The students also learned the importance of wearing helmets on two-wheelers to safeguard lives.

Thus they learnt very crucial life skills through this field trip while simultaneously having a lot of fun.
